About Stroud FM

Stroud FM launched a full time radio service on 24th March 2008 on the 107.9 Mhz slot. We are transmitting from our radio station at the top of the High Street in Stroud Town Centre at 25 watts ERP with a folded dipole antenna elevated to 15 metres AGL. Reaching as far as Cole Avenue in the North and Michael Wood Services to the South. Coverage is patchy in some areas due to the general topography of the area. We welcome reports from listeners of signal strength and quality especially if you are in an outlying area.

We are here to serve the Stroud community in any way we can.
If you would like to be involved in your community radio station for the people of Stroud then now is the time to get in touch. We need your full support and assistance to keep the station on the airwaves. We need volunteers to assist with all aspects of Radio Station Operation including administration, fundraising, advertising, promotion, sponsorship, station management, engineering and technical support, radio journalism, newsgathering, interviewing, presenters, programme making, production, audio editing, computer based work and administration, book-keeping and membership admin. THERE'S A LOT TO DO!

OK so what do we mean when we say we need volunteers?
Nobody gets paid for the running of the station, it's run entirely by people who are willing to donate some of their own time to putting Stroud FM together for the benefit of the community and for social gain ... This Radio Station will not happen without YOUR involvement, we cannot stress this point too strongly.
